“THANK YOU!”
In lieu of a normal blog post this week, I wanted to just say THANK YOU!
Our recent Homecoming event was nothing short of spectacular, and I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest thanks to everyone who played a role in making it such a memorable experience for our students.
Homecoming isn't just a celebration, it's a reflection of our school's spirit and Who we serve. From the coaches who tirelessly prepared our teams to the athletes who gave their all on the field, from the parents who offered unwavering support to the fans who cheered their hearts out, this event truly showcased the strength of our CHS community!
I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the athletes for their hard work and dedication. Your determination and passion on the field not only made us proud but also inspired us. You remind us of the importance of teamwork, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. Well done!
To the parents and families, thank you for being the backbone of our athletic community. Your encouragement and unwavering support provide the foundation upon which our athletes can thrive. Your presence at the games and your continuous enthusiasm are the driving force behind our success.
A special shoutout goes to our dedicated coaching staff. Your guidance, mentorship, and efforts are noticed and always appreciated. Your commitment to helping them grow both as athletes and individuals is truly commendable.
And to our enthusiastic fans and supporters, your presence at the games, your cheers, and your unwavering spirit added a unique energy to the atmosphere. Your passion is infectious, and it's what makes our Homecoming so special.
I also want to express my gratitude to the volunteers, organizers, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and it contributed significantly to the overall success of the event.
In closing, I want to say that Homecoming is not just a single event, it's a celebration of the CHS community. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey and for making Homecoming 2023 an unforgettable experience.
As we move forward, let's carry the spirit of Homecoming with us in all that we do, both on and off the field. Together, we can continue to achieve greatness and make our school community proud.
To God be the glory!

What does it mean to be consistent? And why is it important?
Nick Saban said, "Becoming a champion is not an easy process...It is done by focusing on what it takes to get there and not on getting there."
It means being consistent.

⏪️ WEEKLY RECAP
FOOTBALL
This week was the craziest week of the year, Homecoming week! After a loss last week, the Cardinal football team brought home a win at the Homecoming game with a final score of 50-6.
The Cards started off the game red hot, with sophomore Henry Kalbas scoring an impressive 4 touchdowns and QB Alex Jones threw a total of 5 TDs and ran in one.
The Cardinals defense looked amazing as well, only allowing 6 points from the other team. Kicker, Joseph Johnson make 4 extra points and a field goal, which is extremely impressive and a rare feat in program history.
VOLLEYBALL
The Lady Cardinals took home 2 wins last week with sweeps in both of their games. Senior Calissa Allison got 25 kills combined in only 6 sets of volleyball this week, an extremely high number. The Cards defeated Our Lady of the Hills on Tuesday in 3 straight sets and defeated Bracken in 3 straight sets on Thursday night!
CROSS COUNTRY
The Cardinal Cross Country team ran in the Zion Lutheran Invitational in Walburg on Friday morning. Nathanael and Emmanuel Hernandez ran for the Cardinals and ran hard! Nathanael finished 4th in the meet, and Emmanuel ran a hard race!

“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in my weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
