“SIMPLICITY”
In our fast paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the complexity of things. For our athletes, the run into a similar problem with a busy life of school, training, and competition. Our athletes can find great value in embracing simplicity. Simplicity teaches us that less is more, enabling us to gain familiarity, confidence, and consistency of purpose in our pursuits.
Familiarity Breeds Confidence
Simplicity encourages us to focus on the fundamental aspects of our sport. By doing so, we become intimately familiar with the basic skills, strategies, and techniques required for success. This familiarity is the foundation of confidence.
In Proverbs 22:29, we are reminded, "Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank." By mastering the essentials of any endeavor that we pursue, we prepare ourselves to serve at the highest level with confidence and grace.
Simplicity leads to familiarity which breeds confidence. When our athletes step onto the field or court, they have a quiet assurance that they are well-prepared, capable, and ready to face any challenge that comes our way when they keep things simple.
Consistency of Purpose
Where does your focus lie?
By eliminating unnecessary distractions, we can wholeheartedly dedicate ourselves to the things that matter. Incorporating simplicity into our life’s journey helps us maintain a consistent purpose.
James 1:8 encourages us to be single-minded: "Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do."
Simplicity helps us keep our focus on our true purpose, ensuring that our loyalty remains undivided. This unwavering commitment to purpose in both the athletic and spiritual lives of our athletes allows them to find balance and fulfillment, keeping them on the right track, even in the face of adversity.
Perfect Expression
Simplicity teaches us to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary can be perfectly expressed. This means focusing on the core principles that make us successful. In our faith, it means living out our beliefs with authenticity and sincerity.
In 1 Corinthians 9:24-25, the apostle Paul writes, "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever."
By embracing simplicity, we can refine our skills, deepen our faith, and find greater meaning in our pursuits.
Simplicity offers us a valuable path toward familiarity, confidence, and consistency of purpose. By simplifying our approach to our life and our faith, we can eliminate distractions and embrace our true purpose.
Less is often more, and by simplifying, our students can become better athletes and stronger disciples of our faith.

💭 QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Good purpose should be the director of good actions.”
💬 VERSE OF THE DAY
“Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.” And again, “The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise; he knows they are worthless.”

“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in my weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
